Get the Audio or Video file into iTunes to Add Important Data

Readying an audio or video file for iTunes Metadata

1. Open iTunes and Create a New Playlist

1. Click File
2. Click New Playlist.

2. Give your New Playlist a Name

3. Drag the file to this iTunes playlist

The purpose of this is to easily locate the file so that you can successfully add the medadata. Putting the podcast in your own iTunes library first is required to add the metadata and must be done BEFORE uploading the podcast track to Suffolk's iTunes U page.

Remember:
1. The audio file must be AAC or MP3 to go on the iTunes U site
2. The video file must be .M4v to go on the iTunes U site
3. Information about using iTunes to convert files to the appropriate format can be found here: http://www.suffolk.edu/offices/39193.html
